Player Registration Tutorial
This is a simple tutorial explaining how to complete the Player Registration process.
Below are detailed instructions for all sections of the "Player Registration Form". All fields are identified as either "Required" or "Optional". The form cannot be submitted unless all "Required" fields are completed.
Player Information Section
The first section of the form is specific to basic player information.
- Please take special note of the telephone number format – 10 digits; no spaces or hyphens.
- Please ensure you enter a valid email address.
Guardian Information Section
In this section of the form, the first and last name of at least one guardian is required.
Player Eligibility Section
This is an important section. This information will help determine team placement.
- Make certain you enter "DOB" in the format noted (YYYY–MM–DD).
- "League Age" may seem confusing but all you have to ask yourself is "What will my child´s age be on April 30, 2010". Select the appropriate age from the drop down list.
- "High School Area" is important because it will influence team placement. Unlike other member areas in JCJBL with one high school (ex. - Green Mountain; Wheat Ridge), NJJBA supports six high schools. Please note that your selection may be defined by either residence address or attending school address.
- If you are uncertain whether or not a copy of your child´s birth certificate is on file with NJJBA, please select "No".
Division of Play Options
Your "Division of Play Option" can be considered your age group option; the age group your player will play with. This section includes options for all age groups; 8U Tee Ball through High School Level III/Seniors.
- Your "Division of Play" selection must match your fees selection on the next page (NJJBA Payment Fees page).
Tryout Options — 7/8 Competitive through 14-Year-Olds ONLY
"Tryout Options" 1 through 4 are for players that will play in the 7/8 Competitive through 14-Year-Old divisions/age groups. 8-and-Under players (8U Tee Ball; 8U Minor League; 8U Major League; 8U Kid Pitch), Level III players, and Seniors players should not select options 1 through 4!
- Since 9-year-old players will be trying out for the first time, they MUST select Option 1
- A player that played in the "0" League/Major League division the previous year CANNOT select Option 3 since there is no higher level to play.
- A player that played in the "0" League/Major League division the previous year can only select Option 4 with the permission of the coach.
8-and-Under Options — 8-and-Under ONLY
"8-and-Under Options" 5 through 9 are for 8-and-Under players ONLY (8U Tee Ball; 8U Minor League; 8U Major League; 8U Kid Pitch). 7/8 Competitive through 14-Year-Olds, Level III players, and Seniors players should not select options 5 through 9!
- The options are pretty obvious. Please read the notes carefully.
- 8-and-Under players have the option to request a specific coach to play with or specific players to play with.
- PLEASE NOTE - requesting a specific coach or specific players to play with is just that – "a request". Due to the challenge of trying to place 600+ players on teams, these requests are not guaranteed.
"0" League/Major League Option
The "0" League/Major League option is for players that will play in the 7/8 Competitive through 14-Year-Old divisions/age groups ONLY. 8-and-Under players (8U Tee Ball; 8U Minor League; 8U Major League; 8U Kid Pitch), Level III players, and Seniors players should not select a "0" League/Major League option.
"0" League and Major League are synonymous. This level typically consists of the most skilled players. Teams play tournaments, which can average 1 or more per month of the season. An increased level of time commitment is also expected at this level.
Release and Authorization Section
This is a required section.
- Please Make certain you enter "Date" in the format noted (YYYY–MM–DD).
